Workshop Glocal Creation Class Rio de Janeiro
Workshop Glocal Creation Class Brasilia
Do you see yourself as a problem solver? Do you market yourself as a thinker? Have you attended countless workshops on different tools to tackle system-wide inequities or everyday problems? Me too! Nice to meet you!
Over the last few years, I have been working to make whole the fragmentation of pedagogy and psychology I witness in the world of workshops. There is a pattern in the obstacles and opportunities that surfaced through my research. What I have learned I cannot ignore and I am here to share with you the good news and the bad news.
The bad news: there is no perfect structure tool.
The good news: the more you deal with challenges the more comfortable you become in Designing Tools.
And designing tools is what Design Thinking is about. This is an anti-workshop and, if we are successful, a total brainfuck. Hopefully, you will feel exhausted after the process!
In this two-part experience we will discuss real-world cases, fragment the processes, and work backwards to define the key questions we can ask to build tools from.
If you’re living amongst us in 2020 you probably heard the term Radical Acceptance. DBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy has boomed and bloomed I’m 2019. But what does it have to do with business or strategy? A lot! Lemme tell you.
Mixing life and business has been the basis of my work. It’s not until we are able to accept the imperfectness of systems and look at them as complex living organisms that we can really work with them.
My job as a systems thinker could be subverting concepts and making you believe that we are going to design a static operation structure that is going to solve all the problems. Many people do so. But we won’t. Hard systems break easy. Liquid systems evapore. Looking at systems as a work in progress.
In this workshop we focus on dissecting problems. Radical doesn’t mean intense or crazy, it means from the root and this is where we will be focusing.
Accepting the origin of problems might be a painful exercise, and this is where DBT takes a role. We are using the exercises and philosophies of Martha M. Linehan into systems in order to create the safe environment for exploration.
In this three part workshop we are going to experience tools that influence in a safe environment; analyze personalities, roles and environment aspects that affect clarity; and ways to map correlations towards problem solving.
